VP - Business Development FIG Europe

Klarphos is a Luxembourg-headquartered Asset Manager specialized in customized portfolio solutions and advisory services for institutional clients. Klarphos concentrates its asset management capabilities on a wide selection of assets such as Alternative Investments (Private Equity, Hedge Funds, Private Debt, VC / Growth), Derivatives and exchange traded products (ETPs). It also provides analysis for tailored strategic asset allocation and more customized services for its clients.

Together with the wider distribution team and Klarphos Senior Management, you will develop and implement business development strategies for banks and other FIG clients. The role will focus coverage primarily on European accounts. You will become part of a new growth initiative with an unparalleled team.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Market entire suite of SMA and commingled alternative asset management offerings to banks in Western Europe
  • Arrange and attend industry networking events with Klarphos product and portfolio managers
  • Liaise with CFOs and Treasurers at Banks / Insurance Companies on potential solutions Klarphos can provide
  • Develop specialist knowledge of alternative investment asset classes and strategies
  • Pro-actively source new business opportunities
  • Develop and curate product concepts and marketing material, including project management of relevant external vendors
  • Close collaboration with compliance/legal and risk management
  • Establish, maintain, and grow CRM database
  • Provide regular updates to Senior Management on potential business opportunities

Your background:

  • 5 to 7+ years’ experience in investor relations and/or product sales/fund distribution with an existing book of institutional clients with a focus on banks
  • Or 5 to 7+ years at Investment Bank in FIG sales role focusing on structured products and/or RoRWA optimization and fund finance type of product placement
  • Self-starter, with demonstrated history of taking initiative, being adaptive in a fast-changing environment, and working independently
  • Solid understanding of bank regulation
  • Academic background in Economics/Finance desirable; MBA or equivalent desirable
  • CFA and/or CAIA designation(s) desirable
  • Fluency in English required, other European languages would be a plus
  • Excellent client servicing and communication skills
